After a lot of thought and some honest conversations, we want to share an important update with you all.
The co-founder and friend, Tim, has decided to step away from the band. This wasn’t an easy decision for anyone, but it comes with a lot of respect, gratitude and support for what comes next.
From the very beginning, Tim has been a huge part of the musical journey, our energy and the countless moments we’ve shared both on and off stage. We am incredibly thankful for everything Tim has brought into this journey. Some final words from Tim:
It’s quite a strange feeling. After all, WiV and all its predecessor projects, along with Sebastian himself, of course, have been part of my musical life for nearly three quarters of it. That’s enough to make anyone a little nostalgic, right? But the time has come for me to return to where I once came from: the background. [laughs] Now it’s time to say goodbye.
Chiho and Sebastian will continue to keep a firm hold on the course of WiV through all elements and far beyond. Of that, I am absolutely certain.
While it’s the end of one chapter, it’s not the end of the WIV story. As of March 2026, a new voice joins into the fold. Please give a warm welcome to Chiho, who’s joining as the new singer. From the very first moment, her energy, presence, and unique sound felt like a natural fit for where WIV is heading next. She brings a fresh spark to our music while fully embracing what WIV has always stood for.
